OnePaisa (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website www.onepaisa.in (“Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Platform.
By using OnePaisa, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Information We Collect
2a. Information you provide
- Email address (if you subscribe to our newsletter)
- Name (if you contact us)
- Financial preferences (if you use our Card Finder, Loan Finder, or Insurance Finder tools). We do not store your income, credit score, or financial data permanently. Finder tool inputs are processed in your browser and are not stored on our servers.

- IP address and approximate location (country / city level)
- Browser type, operating system, device type
- Pages visited, time spent, links clicked
- Referring website
We use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled.
2c. Cookies
- Essential cookies: required for the website to function (e.g. theme preference, cookie-consent choice).
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics (you can opt out via our cookie banner).
- Preference cookies: remember your filter settings on listing pages.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve our comparison tools and calculators
- Send our newsletter (only if you subscribed — unsubscribe any time)
- Respond to your support or correction requests
- Monitor and improve website performance
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
We do NOT:
- Sell your personal data to any third party
- Share your data with banks, insurers, or any partner without your explicit, informed consent. We share eligibility details only when you submit a form and tick the consent box — see Section 5.
- Use your data for behavioural advertising
- Contact you or share your number for any purpose you have not consented to
4. Affiliate Links & Commissions
When you click an “Apply Now” button, you are redirected to the bank's or insurer's official website. OnePaisa may receive a commission if you successfully apply. This does not affect the price you pay or the terms offered to you.

5. Eligibility Checks & Offer Requests
Some pages let you submit a short form to check your eligibility for a product (for example a credit card or loan) and ask to be connected with relevant providers. This section explains exactly what happens when you do.
5a. What we collect
When you submit an eligibility or offer-request form, we collect:
- Your name and mobile number
- Your email address (only if you choose to give it)
- Your income band, employment type, and city
- The product you are interested in
We verify your mobile number with a one-time password (OTP) so that only you can submit a request in your name.
5b. Why we collect it and who we share it with
We use these details to assess your likely eligibility and to connect you with relevant partner banks, lenders, and authorised agents (DSAs) who can offer you the product. With your consent, we share your details with those partners so they can check your eligibility and contact you about relevant offers. Once a partner receives your details, it uses them under its own privacy policy and is responsible for its own contact with you.
5c. Legal basis (DPDP Act 2023)
We share your details only on the basis of the explicit consent you give by ticking the consent box when you submit the form. For this data, OnePaisa is the Data Fiduciary that collects your details, and the partners we share them with are the recipients. We do not share this data for any purpose other than the one you consented to, and we never sell it.
5d. How long we keep it
- Eligibility and offer-request leads are retained for 6 months from submission, then deleted.
- If you withdraw consent, we stop sharing your details and delete your lead on request — see below.
5e. Your rights and how to withdraw consent
You can at any time ask us to access, correct, or delete your submitted details, and you can withdraw your consent — withdrawing is as easy as giving it. Email contact@onepaisa.in and we will acknowledge your request within 7 working days and action it within the timelines set out in Section 7. Withdrawing consent does not affect sharing that already took place while your consent was valid.
5f. Confirmation email
After you submit, we send a one-time acknowledgement email (if you gave an email address) confirming the product you requested, the consent you gave, and how to opt out. This is a transactional confirmation, not marketing.
6. Data Retention
- Newsletter subscriber data: until you unsubscribe
- Contact form submissions: 12 months
- Server logs: 90 days
- Analytics data: 26 months (Google Analytics default)
- Affiliate click logs: 24 months for commission reconciliation
7. Your Rights (under DPDP Act 2023)
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data we hold
- Correct inaccurate data
- Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Nominate someone to exercise rights on your behalf

8. Third-Party Services
We use these third-party services which have their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics — website analytics with IP anonymisation
- Resend — email delivery for newsletters
- Supabase — database infrastructure (Singapore region, ISO 27001 certified)
- Vercel — website hosting (global CDN)
- Cloudflare — DDoS protection and CDN
9. Children's Privacy
OnePaisa is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via a banner on the website. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
