Your privacy is central to how OnePaisa works. This page explains, in plain English, what data we collect, why we collect it, who else touches it, and the controls you have over it. We never sell your data. Ever.
What we collect
When you use OnePaisa we handle a small amount of information necessary to operate the service:
- Affiliate clicks — when you tap an Apply button we record the product and network so we can reconcile commissions. We do not record your name, email, or card details at this step.
- Newsletter email — if you subscribe via the footer form, we store your email address and a hashed version of your IP (for abuse prevention). Unsubscribe any time.
- Cookies — a minimal set used to remember your theme choice and cookie-consent preference. See our Cookie Policy.
- Anonymous analytics — aggregated, non-personal page views and click counts used to improve the site.
What we never collect
- Bank account numbers, card numbers, CVVs, or OTPs. OnePaisa is a comparison platform — we are not a bank or payment processor.
- Your credit score, income, or KYC documents. These flow directly between you and the issuer when you apply.
- Your location beyond the coarse geography implied by your IP (and even that is hashed for the newsletter flow).
How we use what we collect
Affiliate click data reconciles commissions with banking partners. Newsletter emails are used solely to send you the opt-in newsletter — no third-party marketing. Analytics inform product decisions (which cards people compare, which guides are useful).
Third parties we use
- Supabase — stores product catalogue, article content, affiliate clicks, and newsletter subscribers.
- Vercel — hosts the application and serves static assets.
- Google AdSense (planned) — may serve ads in designated slots. Opt out by selecting "Essential Only" on the cookie banner.
We do not share identifiable data with advertisers. Affiliate partners receive only the information necessary to attribute a click (product id, network, timestamp).
Data retention
Affiliate click logs are retained for 24 months for commission reconciliation, then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Theme / consent cookies live in your browser only.
Your rights
You can request access to, export of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email privacy@onepaisa.in and we will respond within 30 days, as required by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Children
OnePaisa is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to this policy
When we update this policy we will bump the effective date at the top of this page and — if the change is material — surface a banner on your next visit.
